CEDENNA organizes numerous outreach activities, including conferences, talks, competitions, schools, seminars and exhibitions, to present its work to the general community, generating greater interest in science among the youth of our country.
The Calendar is distributed since 2016 in about 2 thousand schools throughout Chile. It has unpublished images related to nanomagnetic phenomena that are accompanied by a simple, entertaining and understanding description for students and the general public. The photographs were taken by undergraduate, graduate and young scientists. One of the winners, Dr. Daniela Alburquenque said that it seems very important for children to know that high-level research is being carried out in Chile, which can be illustrated with such beautiful photographs as the ones that make up the calendar.
