Cedenna announces IV Workshop for High School Teachers Pronano 2017

March 30, 2017

The IV Workshop for High School Teachers, Pronano 2017, organized by the nanotechnology center, Cedenna, is an initiative carried out within the framework of extension and scientific outreach activities.

Teachers of the scientific areas (biology, physics and chemistry) can apply. The workshop is free of charge and teachers from regions that register can opt for a scholarship granted by Cedenna, which includes transfer and accommodation.

Nanoscience and its applications

The aim of the workshop is to contribute to the understanding of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology from the theoretical and applied point of view. Nanoscience studies the properties of nanometer-scale materials (one millionth of a millimeter structures), which are different from those of larger dimensions. Besides, Nanotechnology is oriented to the applications of these new discoveries. These areas are revolutionizing science with important contributions to the environment, medicine, food industry and electronics, among many others, and Cedenna is one of the main centers that develop this type of projects in Chile.
