Study on nanoparticles in agricultural soils obtains funding from Fondecyt Regular 2019

March 14, 2019

Dr. Nicolás Arancibia leads the project “Alterations in Mobility, bioavailability, speciation of trace elements in soils of volcanic origin with metallic nanoparticles: Experimental study in soils (Column Assay and Redox Oscillation), soil-plant and geochemical modeling”, seeks to relate how the chemical speciation of trace elements (pollutants and nutrients) and mineralogical changes in Chilean agricultural soils when subjected to drought and flooding, especially considering the effect that different types and doses of nanoparticles that arrive by different anthropogenic routes would have on these changes to the floors.
