CEDENNA organizes numerous outreach activities, including conferences, talks, competitions, schools, seminars and exhibitions, to present its work to the general community, generating greater interest in science among the youth of our country.
Last week there were two interesting scientific meetings organized by Cedenna. The city of Puerto Varas received researchers from the United Kingdom, France, Italy, the United States and Brazil, who participated in the Imogo2017 congress, oriented to discuss experimental, theoretical and applications of the imogolite, a promising nanomaterial present in volcanic soils which has also been synthesized in our laboratories. Simultaneously, in Viña del Mar, the IX Chile-Mexico Workshop on Magnetism, Nanoscience and its Applications took place, an instance that is carried out every year alternating between both countries. National, Mexican, Brazilian and Argentine researchers met in this 4 days’ activity wich is the only activity in Latin America in Spanish language, with a large presence of students.
