Electronic industry learns about advances in nanomagnetism

November 6, 2015

Our Center was invited to participate in the event Matelec Latin America 2015 (October 7,8, and 9), dedicated to renewable energy, energy efficiency and the electrical and electronic industries. Dr. Juliano C. Denardin (Magnetic Nanostructures Line) spoke to industry representatives and researchers from other centers on the studies CEDENNA is conducting on magnetism and the work being done in this area in its laboratories. In his presentation he talked about current important and future potential of developing nanostructure-based electronics.

Likewise, just before Dr. Denardin’s presentation, the vice-president of the Electrical-Electronic Industry of Chile, Álvaro Urzúa  (also a member of CEDENNA’s board of directors) opened the event with a talk on the development of electronics in Chile and proposing as a challenge for the area promoting “made in Chile” solutions.
