CEDENNA organizes numerous outreach activities, including conferences, talks, competitions, schools, seminars and exhibitions, to present its work to the general community, generating greater interest in science among the youth of our country.
The 7th Internal Workshop was held during the second half of 2017, bringing together under and postgraduate students and young and senior researchers. The workshop addressed themes identifying tree species that help in environmental decontamination, the synthesis of new materials, a device for immediate detection of listeria, diverse sensors, biodegradable active films and uses of imogolite. As with the previous workshop, time was given to consider the applications developed in the Center.
Valery Nahuelhuen won the poster session with her poster on Synthesis of polyoxomolybdate functionalized with primary amines using microwave radiation. The work was done jointly by Kerry Wrighton, Verónica Paredes and Diego Venegas Yazigi of the Nanostructure Chemistry line. Thirty-eight posters were presented during the workshop, which addressed a wide variety of themes relating to the research lines of the Center.
