CEDENNA organizes numerous outreach activities, including conferences, talks, competitions, schools, seminars and exhibitions, to present its work to the general community, generating greater interest in science among the youth of our country.
The Millennium Nucleus on Basic and Applied Magnetism of the University of Santiago of Chile (USACH) and the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) announce that next January 14th is the deadline to apply for fellowships to attend the Third Chile-Mexico Workshop on Magnetism, Nanoscience and their Applications, which will take place March 27 – 29 in the city of Los Andes, Chile.
This encounter was developed in the framework of the Agreement on Academic and Scientific Collaboration signed by USACH and UNAM that seeks to establish a network of collaboration among Chilean and Mexican scientists who work in magnetism, nanoscience, nanotechnology and other related areas.
Two other encounters have taken place, one in each country, as a result of this agreement, in Temuco, Chile in 2009 and in Cocoyoc, Mexico in 2010. The third encounter in the city of Los Andes, Chile, seeks to strengthen links between Chilean and Mexican students who work in this area of research. As a requisite, students who wish to participate must be completing the fourth year of an undergraduate program or studying in a postgraduate program, in either case, in programs of chemistry, physics, sciences or engineering.
The encounter, sponsored by the Center for the Development of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (CEDENNA) will be involve distinguished researchers from different research and academic centers from both Chile and Mexico.
