CEDENNA organizes numerous outreach activities, including conferences, talks, competitions, schools, seminars and exhibitions, to present its work to the general community, generating greater interest in science among the youth of our country.
“Science within reach: science experiments for basic education” is the name of the project that Dr. David Laroze, a researcher in CEDENNA’s Magnetic Nanostructure Line is promoting in the city of Arica, in the Arica and Parinacota Region of Chile.
The initiative consists of presenting experiments to students in basic levels schools in the city of Arica. The experiments deal with themes like material resistance, chemical combustion, friction, fluid mechanics, forces of action and reaction, and chemical reactions, among others.
The experiments will be conducted weekly over a semester and each event will registered in a blog so reach out to students beyond the school.
The project will continue until December with the support of CEDENNA and the Nanotechnology High Level Research Laboratory of the Universidad de Tarapacá.
