CEDENNA organizes numerous outreach activities, including conferences, talks, competitions, schools, seminars and exhibitions, to present its work to the general community, generating greater interest in science among the youth of our country.
The jury for the 2016 nanoscience calendar met in December to choose the images to illustrate next’s years calendar. The jury is composed of Dora Altbir, director; Ricardo Ramírez, assistant director; Eugenio Vogel, coordinator; María José Galotto, researcher; Erika Inostroza, communications officer.
The authors of the selected images are Romina Abarca, Sebastián Castillo and Alvaro Espejo from the Universidad de Santiago de Chile, and José Mella, Daniel Navas and Felipe Valencia from the Universidad de Chile.
The competition was organized by the Center for the Development of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology with the aim of encouraging participation in scientific outreach activities. The 2016 Nanoscience Calendar will be distributed to schools around the country.
