CEDENNA organizes numerous outreach activities, including conferences, talks, competitions, schools, seminars and exhibitions, to present its work to the general community, generating greater interest in science among the youth of our country.
Doctors Mauricio Escudey, Juan Pablo García-Huidobro and Manuel Gacitúa, members of Cedenna’s Nanosafety Unit, attended the annual meeting of the OECD Working Group on Manufactured Nanomaterials. Due to the special conditions that occurred this year as a result of the Covid19 pandemic, the sessions were held online.
The researchers were able to recognize the advances that are taking place in this area worldwide with the aim of protecting and caring for the people involved in the development of new nanometric materials.
“We proposed that Cedenna be a benchmark in nanosafety, participate in decision-making regarding development policy in this area and enter a circuit where world policies are defined,” they stressed.
