Simulations

The Simulations research line is focused on basic sciences and is fundamental to understanding natural processes.

As defined by the OECD in its materials working groups, it is essential to have computational models that guide scientific work and can predict the properties of nanomaterials, as an alternative to animal testing and intensive laboratory use. This group’s expertise in modeling, simulations, machine learning, and statistics will support the development of problems from other research lines at the center, in addition to generating cutting-edge knowledge that can, in turn, open the way to novel applications.
