The National Institute of Industrial Property (INAPI Chile) opened its doors to host the activity “Promoting links and associativity between ANID Centers”, an initiative organized by the National Research and Development Agency and aimed at the managers, directors, executives and deputy directors of the network of Centers it funds and supports.
The meeting, which aimed to address topics related to administrative management, was attended by 58 Centers, including the Center for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (CEDENNA), with the presence of Fondap, Basal, International, Technological, Regional, Millennium and Education centers.
In his role as director of the CEDENNA Center, Dr. Juan Escrig Murúa attended and highlighted that this meeting was “an excellent opportunity to share experiences and good practices with other ANID Centers, fostering a space for collaboration that goes beyond both the scientific-technological sphere and science outreach”.
He added that “the possibility of jointly addressing challenges in management, governance and sustainability allows us, as a network, to strengthen our capabilities and find innovative solutions to common problems, thus enhancing the impact of our centers on society”.
During the session, eight working groups were set up so that participants had the opportunity to share their experiences on institutional management and how they approach decision-making.
Along these lines, presentations were made and dialogues generated, raising topics such as science outreach and communication; management challenges; governance; national and international links and networks; technology and knowledge transfer; and, finally, sustainability.
At the end of the activity, attendees took stock, valuing these working spaces and identifying common needs in relation to management topics. They also agreed that there are opportunities for collaboration, where it is possible to continue strengthening networks for the dissemination of science and the knowledge generated under them.
