“Chile must move from being an agri-food powerhouse to being an eco-food powerhouse. And nanotechnology is fundamental in this modernization process,” said the president of the National Agriculture Society, Antonio Walker, after visiting the “1st Nanotechnology Fair for the Agricultural Sector” organized by CEDENNA.
He added that “all the developments and applications we have seen complement this important change in Chilean agriculture”. He also highlighted the importance of this great joint effort involving government, companies and academia.
He also said that nanotechnology in agriculture promises to revolutionize the way food is grown, protected and processed, thus helping to address global challenges of food security and environmental sustainability.
