On Tuesday, September 5, we were visited by 43 students from 1st to 4th year of high school from Colegio San Pedro Poveda in Maipú.

After a welcome and introductory talk on the nano world given by Dr. Mauricio Escudey, head of CEDENNA’s Nanosafety Line, the students toured several of the center’s laboratories, including Nanomedicine, Electron Microscopy, Nanomagnetism, Packaging, Nanosafety and Plant Biotechnology.

Fascinated and eager to return, the students said goodbye to the center and its researchers, committed to learning more about nanoscience and nanotechnology.

“Our recent educational visit to this prestigious Center for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology allowed us to explore a world of innovation and cutting-edge knowledge. Cedenna is a beacon of national importance in the field of nanoscience, and this experience was a window into the impact scientific research has on our country,” said the school.

“For our students, this visit was an invaluable opportunity to understand how science and technology are shaping the future. From nanotechnology to materials physics, Cedenna is at the forefront of research, and our students had the chance to interact with scientists and learn about projects that are driving the advancement of science in Chile,” the teachers highlighted.
