Dr. Roberto Lavín, associate professor at Universidad Diego Portales, has been invited. The general objective of the Chilean Asphalt Committee is to drive the development of the asphalt industry in Chile by promoting technical knowledge. Its strategic objectives include fostering technical knowledge of asphalt among the different stakeholder groups, made up of industry, consultants, innovation and research players, etc.
The board invited the CEDENNA member to join the Committee as an academic partner in order to contribute to the development of this industry in his area of expertise as a researcher. “My intention is to seek more direct and trusting links with the main players in this industry in Chile, to contribute to its development with research projects, consulting, internships, among others,” explained Dr. Lavín.
