Detectia is CEDENNA’s new company in formation that will produce and sell pathogen sensors, and it is taking part in the Fill the Gap competition of Hub APTA, a program aimed at accelerating the negotiation and commercialization of technologies.
Detectia begins its work with the sensor for Listeria monocytogenes (a bacterium that contaminates food and causes serious infections), a project on which researchers Juan Luis Palma, Sebastián Michea, Rafael Freire and Macarena Varas have worked.
The spin-off in formation will also apply to the competition of the project incubator The Ganesha LAB.
