On Thursday, June 1, you are invited to this unmissable double session at 4:30 PM, with Drs. Mauricio Escudey (CEDENNA) and Rafael Freire (INIA).
1. Talk by Dr. Mauricio Escudey: Is there a risk in applying manufactured nanomaterials to soils?

Beyond fulfilling the specific action for which they were developed, nanomaterials can capture and transport contaminants in the soil, affecting plant development.

2. Talk by Dr. Rafael Freire: “Nanotechnology in agriculture: how nanomaterials can help produce safe food”
Food safety is a key issue in the development of more modern and environmentally friendly agriculture. In that sense, it is desirable to reduce the use of different agricultural inputs, such as pesticides and fertilizers, among others. However, these products have enabled a significant increase in yields. In that sense, the agronomic potential of low-cost, environmentally friendly nanomaterials is being studied, as they would in turn contribute to a lower use of agricultural inputs while maintaining production yields.

WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU, TO WRAP UP WITH A PLEASANT CONVERSATION OVER COMFORTING COFFEE AND COOKIES.
