The researcher at the Center for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (CEDENNA), Dr. Daniela Alburquenque, recently carried out a research stay (international collaboration) at the Sustainable Energy Laboratory (LaES) of the National University of Córdoba, Argentina (UNC). Dr. Alburquenque worked in conjunction with Drs. Guillermina Luque and Victoria Bracamonte in the framework of the Fondecyt project titled "Effect of the incorporation of rare earth in nanostructured metal oxides, used as cathodes, on the efficiency of lithium-ion batteries" (Effect of the incorporation of rare earths in nanostructured metal oxides, used as cathodes, on the efficiency of lithium-ion batteries).

Addressing the importance of her participation in the congress, the researcher highlighted the value of establishing close collaborations and contributing to knowledge in the energy field and its applications. Furthermore, he highlighted how this collaboration benefits to CEDENNA by disseminating research in the development and evaluation of new materials for lithium battery cathodes, which could open the door to future projects joints between Argentine and Chilean research groups.

“The contribution to our research center is essential in this area, since it contributes to disseminate the research I carry out in the development and evaluation of new materials for be used as cathodes in lithium batteries. This, in turn, would facilitate future collaborations and joint projects between Argentine research groups and Chileans,” commented Dr. Alburquenque.

This collaboration underlines CEDENNA's commitment to excellence in research and international collaboration, demonstrating how science transcends borders to address global challenges.
