“Chile must move from being an agri-food power to being an eco-food power. And nanotechnology is fundamental within this modernization process,” said the president of the National Agricultural Society, Antonio Walker, after visiting the “1st Nanotechnology Fair for the Agricultural Sector” organized by CEDENNA.

He added that “all the developments and applications that we have seen are a complement to this important change in Chilean agriculture.” Along with this, he highlighted the importance of this great joint reinforcement that involves the government, companies and academia.

He further indicated that nanotechnology in agriculture promises to revolutionize the way food is grown, protected and processed, thus contributing to addressing the global challenges of food security and environmental sustainability.
