First Nanotechnology Fair for Agriculture: Chile, from agri-food power to eco-food power

Usach al Día highlighted that with the purpose of promoting the advances that the Cedenna Center is making to face new challenges in the agricultural sector, and in seeking to establish collaborations between academia, the public sector and industry, the First Nanotechnology Fair for Agriculture, in order to achieve a more sustainable future for the country.

Sensors to detect pathogens in record time and with less environmental impact; fertilizers made from plant particles to improve crop quality; pesticides and fungicides with plant nanoparticles, made from native and Antarctic plants; Intelligent packaging with nanotechnology to extend the useful life of agricultural products and improve their quality, in addition to Nanosafety processes, were some of the innovations presented at the exhibition.
