The company Carozzi was awarded first place in the Packaging Innovation Award 2025, an award granted by LABEN Chile of the Universidad de Santiago that highlights innovative packaging developments focused on sustainability, material efficiency and the circular economy. The award highlights solutions that respond to the industry’s current challenges, integrating technological innovation, environmental responsibility and continuous improvement of production processes.

This recognition is especially relevant for Center for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (CEDENNA), considering that José Manuel Muñoz Godoy, Innovation and Digital Transformation Manager at Carozzi, is a member of the Board of the CEDENNA Foundation. The Center values advances of this kind, which relate directly to its lines of applied research and reinforce the importance of the link between science, technology and industry to generate solutions with real impact on the country’s development.

CEDENNA congratulated José Manuel Muñoz Godoy and, through him, Ximena Ledezma, Rodrigo Collao and the entire team that took part in this initiative, whose result is a source of pride and an example of the value of collaborative work and sustained innovation over time.

The Packaging Innovation Award recognizes initiatives capable of rethinking packaging design from a comprehensive perspective, incorporating innovation, sustainability and industrial feasibility criteria. In this context, Carozzi’s achievement reflects the strategic role of innovation in companies’ competitiveness and sustainability.

At CEDENNA, developments of this kind are seen as an opportunity to continue strengthening the link between the scientific-technological world and industry, particularly in areas such as new materials, applied innovation and sustainability.
