The Center for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, CEDENNA, has begun distributing its 2026 Calendar, an initiative that brings together science, art and education through images of the nano world obtained by researchers and students using electron microscopy.

The 5 images in this calendar are the winning works of the internal contest “CEDENNA Images 2026”, which seeks to highlight the visual beauty present in scientific research at the nanoscale. Each of these micrographs was later creatively enhanced by its authors, creating unique graphic pieces that combine art and science.

One of the most innovative aspects of this new edition is its interactive nature. Each image includes a QR code that gives access to exclusive audiovisual content: a video in which the author explains in detail the origin of the image, the technique used and the motivation behind its creation.

The calendar also includes educational activities specially designed for students, with proposals that teachers and students can carry out in the classroom to approach the world of nanoscience and nanotechnology in a fun way.

The 2026 CEDENNA calendar will be distributed to schools in different regions of the country, with the aim of fostering scientific curiosity and promoting interest in research among new generations.
