As part of its science outreach activities, the Center for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (CEDENNA) visited Colegio María Inmaculada, located in the municipality of El Bosque, to bring students closer to the fascinating world of nanoscience. On this occasion, Dr. Samuel Baltazar, Universidad de Santiago academic and CEDENNA associate researcher, gave an educational talk presenting the fundamentals of nanoscale science and its applications in areas such as medicine, energy and the environment.

Through an interactive presentation, students learned how advances in nanoscience can impact our daily lives, even though they take place in a world invisible to the human eye. The students actively participated in the session, showing great interest in this emerging field that has the potential to transform multiple industries.

Colegio María Inmaculada stands out for its focus on the comprehensive education of students, combining academic learning with extracurricular activities. This talk is part of CEDENNA’s commitment to bringing science closer to the community and fostering interest in the technologies of the future among young people.

With initiatives like this, the center continues to drive science outreach, sparking curiosity and enthusiasm for science in new generations.
