In a joint effort with the Chilean Network of Chemistry Teachers, CEDENNA organized the First National Training Meeting on Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, an unprecedented event aimed at strengthening the teaching skills of chemistry teachers across the country.

The session, held at our facilities, brought together leading specialists in the field and an audience of teachers interested in bringing advances in nanoscience into Chilean classrooms.

The meeting began with an introductory talk by CEDENNA director Dr. Juan Escrig, together with the Dr. Dora Altbir, 2019 National Prize for Exact Sciences winner and Director of the CEDENNA Foundation, who offered an overview of the impact and applications of nanoscience and nanotechnology.

During the session, attendees had the opportunity to delve into various topics with renowned experts such as:

  • Dr. Samuel Baltazar
  • Dr. Patricia Díaz
  • Dr. José Zagal, 2024 National Prize for Natural Sciences winner
  • Dra. Carolina Villegaz

This meeting not only enabled the exchange of knowledge and experiences, but also strengthened ties between the scientific and educational communities, fostering quality teaching around science and innovation.

At CEDENNA we remain committed to training future leaders in science, and this first meeting marks a significant step in our mission to bring nanoscience closer to new generations.

We thank all participants for being part of this transformative experience!
