The Center for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (CEDENNA) invites undergraduate and graduate students, postdoctoral researchers and technology developers affiliated with the Center to take part in a new edition of the 2025 CEDENNA Images Contest.
This initiative seeks to collect the best images obtained from research in nanoscience and nanotechnology, whether through electron microscopy, simulations or other techniques, with the aim of bringing scientific work closer to the general public and fostering scientific culture in our country.
Visibility and outreach
The selected images will be part of CEDENNA’s outreach material, appearing in calendars, books, presentations, exhibitions and activities in schools and high-traffic places. In addition, all works will become part of CEDENNA’s historical archive and may be used in future outreach pieces, always giving due credit to their authors.
Prizes and recognition
The jury will choose three winning images, considering their quality, creativity and value for science outreach. Each selected work will receive a prize of CLP 100,000 (net amount).

Submissions will be open until 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 30, 2025.
