Three projects by researchers associated with CEDENNA applied for and won the 2024 IdeA I+D Competition of the Fund for the Promotion of Scientific and Technological Development (Fondef), awarded by the State through the National Research and Development Agency (ANID).

The purpose of this fund is to “promote the development of science- and technology-based research and innovation projects in close collaboration with the private sector, civil society and the State, contributing to increased competitiveness, well-being and quality of life of the population”.

We invite you to review the details of the three winning projects, led by Drs. Luis Constandil, Roberto Lavín and Abel Guarda (Packaging Technology Line and Laben):

  1. Nanoparticles made from natural polymers loaded with botanical antifungal agents to prevent damage caused by wood fungi in fruit trees and vineyards.
  2. Nanotechnological Concrete Project
  3. Design of a prototype paperboard created with nanostructures from renewable, compostable and recyclable sources.
