Science is a human activity linked to society, and the key is to communicate it clearly to integrate science with the community, said science communicator Gabriel León, biochemist and PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology, during a talk he gave to CEDENNA (Center for the Development of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology) researchers and students as part of the institution’s monthly Seminar Series.

Before a full auditorium, in his presentation entitled “The social role of science beyond its products”, Dr. León reflected on the aspects that must be considered to bring science closer to people and communicate it better to make it interesting to the public.

To this end, he recommended using simple and approachable language, as well as encouraging people to ask questions and understand that science is not the truth but a way of thinking that allows us to better understand the world.
