Dr. Eugenio Vogel Matamala, CEDENNA researcher and academic at Universidad de la Frontera, was chosen as one of the 100 Senior Leaders 2022, an initiative promoted by Fundación Conecta Mayor that highlights important national and local figures for their contribution to the country’s development.
The researcher holds a PhD in Physics from Johns Hopkins University and an Honorary Doctorate from Universidad Nacional de San Luis, Argentina. This year, the specialist in magnetism and statistical physics co-authored five international scientific publications, took part in international conferences and visited the universities of Navarra and Almería in Spain, giving seminars and laying the foundations for collaboration.
He was a member of the Scientific Committee of the XVII Intensive Seminar on Condensed Matter and Statistical Physics, SIMAFE 2022, which has just concluded in Temuco, and of a Symposium held this year in Puerto Varas.
