In an effort to understand and address the scientific and technological challenges facing Chile, the Center for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (CEDENNA) actively participated in the Workshop “Technological Challenges for Chile: Where are we heading?”, organized by the Universidad de la Frontera (UFRO) in Temuco.

The event, which took place recently, focused on exploring the various challenges the country faces in science, bringing together leading experts and professionals in the field.

CEDENNA Executive Director Dr. Juan Escrig shared his expertise in nanoscience and nanotechnology with attendees. In his remarks, Escrig outlined the crucial role CEDENNA plays in research and development in these emerging fields.

“It is essential to understand the transformative potential of nanoscience and nanotechnology in today’s scientific and technological landscape. At CEDENNA, we are committed to driving innovation and progress in these fields, thereby contributing to Chile’s advancement,” said Escrig during his participation.

The workshop served not only as a platform to discuss current challenges, but also as a space to strengthen collaboration between academic institutions, research centers and the private sector, with a view to finding effective and sustainable solutions to the country’s scientific and technological problems.

CEDENNA’s presence and contribution at this event underscores its ongoing commitment to scientific excellence and its key role in advancing research and innovation in Chile.
