On Friday, July 12, a group of 25 students from Eindhoven University of Technology, in the Netherlands, had the privilege of delving into the fascinating nanoworld during a special tour of the Center for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (CEDENNA).

The day began with a brief talk by CEDENNA Executive Director Dr. Juan Escrig, who introduced the students to the impressive advances and applications of the nanotechnology developed at CEDENNA. The young explorers then embarked on an exciting tour of the center’s various specialized laboratories.

From the Electron Microscopylaboratories, where students were able to get a close look at nanoscale structures, to the Nanobiomedicinelaboratory, where students were able to see the different innovations being worked on. Each laboratory provided a unique and tangible view of how nanotechnology and nanoscience are transforming multiple disciplines.

In addition, students had the opportunity to interact with leading researchers in fields such as Nanomagnetism, Electron Transfer, Packaging Laboratory and Plant Biotechnology Laboratory, who shared their experiences and answered every question asked by the international visitors.

This meeting not only strengthened academic ties between two leading institutions at the scientific forefront, but also inspired young people to consider new perspectives and possible collaborations in the dynamic and amazing world of nanotechnology.
