Group Description
Chemistry and Nanoenvironment studies environmental issues, with an emphasis on the search for materials capable of mitigating various pollutants. In addition to seeking curative nanoproducts, it also studies the side effects of nanomaterials, due to their size and composition, on soil, water, and plants. These topics are highly relevant for the country, as pollution from sources such as pharmaceuticals, plastics, medications, beauty and cleaning products, among many others, is increasing.
