On Tuesday, August 5, we enthusiastically welcomed a group of researchers from the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture of Universidad Arturo Prat (UNAP), who toured the Center’s facilities and laboratories to learn first-hand about our lines of research in nanoscience and nanotechnology.

During the visit, the guests explored our laboratories of:

  • Technology Transfer

  • Electron Microscopy

  • Nanobiomedicine

  • Nanomagnetism

  • Nanostructure Chemistry

This was a valuable opportunity to share experiences, discuss applied research and strengthen ties towards future scientific collaborations between both institutions.

Eugenio Pizarro, MSc, academic at the UNAP Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, highlighted the importance of this experience:

“The visit to CEDENNA is extremely important for us. It allows us to consolidate and advance the development of our projects. Each researcher gave us a very interesting welcome, with great warmth and a strong desire to cooperate and move science forward”.

For her part, Dr. Erika Meza, also an academic at the same faculty, said:

“This visit has been very enriching. We were able to learn about this research center and how it works, as well as its equipment. We take away a great experience for what we are planning to do in Iquique”.

Dr. Alexis Pereira, UNAP academic, also valued the visit:

“I thank CEDENNA for this opportunity, as it was very enriching. It was a very good experience. We were able to see its facilities, the different projects and all the Center’s work to contribute to science”.

At CEDENNA we are deeply grateful for meetings like this, which allow us to keep building collaboration networks for the country’s scientific and technological development.
