Sistrat, a CEDENNA spin-off, won Corfo’s “Consolidate and Expand Innovation” competition, funding that will allow it to optimize the international scale-up of the Bwear system so that it can be properly marketed in the target markets already being projected, including Peru, Brazil, Canada and the United States.
Dr. Álvaro Espejo, Sistrat’s Director of Technology, explains that Bwear is a wireless system for monitoring bushing wear. It improves bushing service life by planning replacement efficiently and in a timely manner.
Sistrat is the culmination of years of research, development and innovation applied to sensors specially designed to solve problems in mining. A few weeks ago it took part successfully in Exponor, with great interest from attendees in the innovative solutions it offers to the mining sector’s challenges.
