The exhibition “Images of the Nanoworld” concluded its stay at the Ministry of Science, where it surprised both the ministry’s authorities and the public who visited it in the ministry’s hall during the three weeks it was hosted there.

The exhibition has now been installed in the hall of the Nicanor Parra Library of Universidad Diego Portales, where it will remain until July 8. Students and faculty can visit it between 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. and see the 12 images of nanoparticles of different materials captured by researchers at the Center for the Development of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, CEDENNA

Through this exhibition, the research center seeks to spark the curiosity and interest of people of all ages in nanotechnology, which includes applications developed from the new properties materials exhibit at the nanoscale. Some applications have existed for a long time, ranging from sunscreens to paints with specific properties, including components in our computers and cell phones, as well as revolutionary cancer treatments.

The next destination of “Images of the Nanoworld” is the Esplanade of the Department of Physics, Saucache Campus, Universidad de Tarapacá in Arica. This will begin the exhibition’s tour through different regions of the country, on a journey that aims to cover the national territory all the way to the Magallanes and Chilean Antarctic Region.
