Colegio Nuestra Señora María Inmaculada had the opportunity to visit the facilities of CEDENNA, where students had a unique educational experience. The day began with an introductory talk by Dr. Fabián Araneda, CEDENNA associate researcher, who immersed the young people in the fascinating world of nanotechnology. Through his presentation, students were able to understand in depth the concepts and applications this emerging field offers for science and technology.
After the talk, the students took a guided tour of CEDENNA’s various specialized laboratories, including Electron Microscopy, Nanomagnetism, Nanosafety, Packaging and Nanobiomedicine. In each of these spaces, the students not only got a close look at the advanced equipment and techniques used by researchers, but also had the opportunity to interact with the scientists, who shared their experience and knowledge, enriching the visit.
This activity not only sparked students’ interest in science and technology, but also gave them a practical and up-to-date view of how nanotechnology is transforming various industries, from medicine to the design of safer and more efficient materials.
