Students from the 10th to 12th grades of the Instituto Nacional visited CEDENNA’s laboratories to see first-hand how research in nanoscience and nanotechnology is contributing to the country’s scientific and technological development.
During the visit, the students toured the laboratories of Electron Microscopy, Nanosafety, Nanomagnetism and Nanobiomedicine, where they learned about the work carried out by the Center’s researchers and interacted with high-level scientific equipment used in frontier research.
Throughout the tour, the students learned about various lines of research that CEDENNA develops in areas such as new materials, magnetic technologies, biomedical applications of nanotechnology and studies related to the safety of nanomaterials. The visit brought young people closer to scientific processes that have an impact on areas such as health, the environment and technological development.
These activities are part of CEDENNA’s commitment to science outreach and community engagement, promoting spaces for dialogue between the school community and the world of research. Through initiatives like this, the Center seeks to spark interest in science, foster scientific vocations and show the contribution that excellent research carried out in Chile can make to society.
