Strengthening collaborative work and the exchange of knowledge was the focus of the First Internal Seminar held by CEDENNA’s Line 2 (Magnetic Nanostructures and Mining), which took place at the Faculty of Physical and Mathematical Sciences of the Universidad de Chile, with the participation of researchers from the different universities that make up the line.

The session made it possible to share progress, approaches and challenges in an open dialogue, generating a rich exchange of information that not only strengthens the line’s own work but also opens new opportunities for coordination with other areas of the Center.

These kinds of events are key to showcasing capabilities, identifying common ground and planning collaborations, contributing to a more integrated view of CEDENNA’s scientific and technological work, in line with its interdisciplinary nature and its focus on developing solutions with impact.

The Center’s director (who also leads the line), Dora Altbir, highlighted the importance of these meetings, noting that “when we take the time to share what we are doing, connections appear that we often don’t see in our daily work. That is where the best ideas and the most powerful collaborations emerge”.

The seminar marks a milestone in consolidating meeting spaces within the Center, projecting itself as a practice that can help strengthen cross-cutting collaboration between lines and boost the development of joint initiatives.

In this context, each line is expected to hold at least one seminar per semester, promoting a culture of collaborative work and ongoing exchange, in line with the challenges of applied research and CEDENNA’s strategic objectives.

The Magnetic Nanostructures Line is made up of Álvaro Espejo, Álvaro Núñez, Andrés Zahler, Juliano Denardin, Laura Milena Pérez, Pedro Landeros, Rodrigo Arias, Simón Oyarzun, Walter Cañon and Dora Altbir.
