Back to News and Activities

Today March 17, 2025 applications open for educational visits to the CEDENNA Center, available to students from 7th to 12th grade. This year, we have established new requirements to guarantee a safe and enriching experience for all participants.

We would love to welcome everyone, but places are limited not only because of the size of the laboratories, but also because these visits require a pause in our regular activities. Researchers and academics temporarily interrupt their research and teaching to make this experience possible.

To apply, complete the form and watch for the confirmation email

FORM

We look forward to your participation!

Important details about the visits:

  • Registration open: from March 17
  • Visit dates: from April 21, on dates to be defined by the CEDENNA team and communicated to registrants by email.
  • Limited places: each form corresponds to a specific class, so each group must have a maximum of 35 students.
  • Students with specific needs: if the group includes students with reduced mobility, vertigo or neurodivergence, it is essential to let us know in advance so we can make the necessary adjustments during the tour.
  • Chaperones: to ensure the activity runs smoothly, the presence of at least 2 to 3 teachers or parents accompanying the group throughout the visit is required.
  • Registration priority: to give as many schools as possible the opportunity, one visit per school will be prioritized. If places are available, the possibility of assigning more visits to the same school will be evaluated.

Visit format:

During the visits, students will have the opportunity to get a close look at the fascinating world of nanoscience and nanotechnology through various interactive activities. The visits include:

  1. Introductory talks: CEDENNA experts will give an introductory talk covering key concepts of nanoscience and nanotechnology, showing how these disciplines are transforming science and technology today.
  2. Laboratory tours: students will have a guided tour of CEDENNA’s different laboratories, where they will be able to observe the processes and experiments carried out in the field of nanotechnology.
