“From theory to practice: how nanotechnology can help solve the environmental water crisis.” With this major topic, the 2023 season of the CEDENNA Seminar Series began, a session well attended by researchers and students interested in hearing what Drs. Samuel Baltazar and Pamela Sepúlveda had to say on this highly relevant subject.
The speakers noted that the use of nanotechnology emerges as an efficient technological proposal for various environmental problems, such as the contamination of aqueous matrices.

In this context, the seminar addressed the issue from two points of view: theoretical physics and experimental chemistry. On the one hand, it focused on the theoretical aspects of optimizing specific properties of nanomaterials and, on the other, on the experimental aspects of obtaining them and applying them to remove contaminants.
Both speakers agreed on the importance of carrying out collaborative and multidisciplinary research with high-impact answers to this environmental problem.
