- CEDENNA Open Lab partner will hold the Seminar “Reactors for modern synthesis: combining microwaves with Raman spectroscopy”, showing the progress and prospects of this technique.
Anamim Group, a partner company of CEDENNA Open Lab, invites companies and professionals in the chemical field to a meeting with Alexander Stadler, principal scientist at Anton Paar, the scientific/business platform dedicated to the development, manufacture and distribution of high-precision instruments for laboratories, the petrochemical industry, materials characterization, microwave synthesis, sample preparation, refractometry and polarimetry.
The seminar will review the latest discoveries in organic synthesis combined with RAMAN spectroscopy, and equipment will be made available to attendees so they can observe how chemical reactions occur, from the simplest to the most complex.
Alexander Stadler studied chemistry at the University of Graz, Austria, where he also obtained his PhD for studies on microwave-accelerated reactions in solution and solid phase. After postdoctoral research on microwave-assisted transition-metal-catalyzed coupling reactions at Uppsala University, Sweden, he joined Anton Paar GmbH in Graz in 2004. After serving as product specialist and then product manager for microwave synthesis equipment, he currently holds the position of principal scientist for microwave synthesis.
OPEN LAB CEDENNA is an innovative program that aims to create a hub of companies associated with the country’s largest nanoscience and nanotechnology center. Anamim Group provides comprehensive, ongoing and innovative solutions in laboratory instrumentation and production processes for the different industries in the market.
The event will take place on May 2 in the auditorium of the CEDENNA Center (Av. Libertador Bernardo O’Higgins 3363, Estación Central) in two sessions, in the morning from 10:00 a.m. and in the afternoon from 3:00 p.m. Anton Paar equipment focused on sample preparation and physicochemical analysis will also be presented.
