CEDENNA, the country’s largest nanoscience and nanotechnology center, had a successful and active participation at Exponor through its spin-off SISTRAT. A group of researchers traveled to Antofagasta to exhibit two systems created for mining that represent multimillion-dollar savings, process improvements and worker safety: the real-time uncrushables detection sensor called SiGET and the BWear system, applied to monitoring bushing wear.

During the four days of the event, Sistrat’s team received a large number of visits and inquiries related to nanotechnology applications.
