The Agricultural Research Institute (INIA) reached an agreement with CEDENNA to jointly explore projects in which the use of nanoparticles can be decisive in improving crops. At a time when the world population is growing significantly, the challenge is to produce more, but it must be done while caring for soils in order to provide healthy food to the population and enable sustainable development.
For our Center, this is an opportunity to collaborate in developing solutions that benefit our country’s agri-food sector without degrading the health of soil and agroecosystems. In this area, CEDENNA has already developed pathogen sensors and packaging with nanoparticles that promote better food quality.
