The International Committee of the National Research and Development Agency, ANID, delivered its evaluation of the work carried out at the Center during the period July 2018 to March 2020.
The report reflects a positive assessment of CEDENNA’s results during the evaluated period, such as scientific output and international collaboration, highlighting it as a national model Center, and provides guidelines for its international consolidation.
Some of the best-rated aspects were the increase in its scientific output, visible in the number of publications in WoS-indexed journals, demonstrating the dynamism of the Center and of the researchers who actively take part in research activities and give CEDENNA visibility. It also mentions the development of a nanosafety laboratory and teaching activities in this area, the training of
future scientific leaders through research and outreach activities, collaboration with industry and other national and international institutions, as well as the enabling of new research spaces. The report adds that the establishment of an industry transfer area and the creation of startups are signs of a Center on its way to becoming world class.
