Drs. Mauricio Escudey, Juan Pablo García-Huidobro and Manuel Gacitúa, members of CEDENNA’s Nanosafety Unit, attended the annual meeting of the OECD Working Party on Manufactured Nanomaterials. Due to the special conditions this year caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the sessions were held online.
The researchers had the opportunity to learn about progress being made worldwide in this area, with the aim of protecting and caring for people involved in developing new materials derived from nanoscience, from the initial stages to end users.
“We set out for CEDENNA to be a reference in nanosafety, to take part in decision-making on development policy in this area and to enter a circuit where global policies are defined,” they stressed.
