The exhibition "Images of the Nanomundo" concluded its visit to the Ministry of Science, where it surprised both the authorities of that portfolio and the public that was able to visit it in the hall of this Secretary of State during the three weeks that it was housed. Now, the exhibition has been installed in the hall of the Nicanor Parra Library of the Diego Portales University, where it will remain until July 8. Students and teachers will be able to visit it between 09:00 and 19:00 and see the 12 images of nanoparticles of different materials that were captured by researchers from the Center for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, CEDENNA Through this exhibition, the research center seeks to generate the curiosity and interest of the public of all ages in nanotechnology, which considers applications that are developed from the new properties exhibited by materials at the nanoscale. Some applications have been around for a long time and range from sunscreens to paints with specific properties, including components in our computers and cell phones, as well as revolutionary cancer treatments. The next destination for the "Images of the Nanomundo" is the Esplanade of the Department of Physics, Campus Saucache, of the University of Tarapacá in Arica. This will begin the tour of the sample through different regions of the country, on a trip that aspires to cover the national territory up to the Magallanes Region and the Chilean Antarctic.
