Center for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (CEDENNA) will open, for the first time, its nanotechnology course to students and professionals in the health field. The initiative, recently featured by Cooperativa Ciencia, seeks to bring the most innovative scientific advances closer to those on the front line of clinical practice.
The course will begin on May 26 and will be taught online, allowing broad participation nationwide. This new edition will feature leading national researchers, who will address the current and future impact of nanotechnology in areas such as cancer treatment, controlled drug release, regenerative medicine and early diagnosis.
In addition, an optional hands-on session will be offered for those who wish to complement the theoretical content with a more applied experience.
“Nanotechnology is already present in cutting-edge treatments, but the medical world still has little access to this information. This course seeks precisely to reverse that situation,” explained the executive director of CEDENNA and 2019 National Prize for Exact Sciences winner, Dr. Dora Altbir.
