The science outreach initiative “Images of the Nanoworld,” led by the Center for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (CEDENNA), was featured by the regional media outlet El Heraldo Austral, as part of its tour through rural schools in the Los Lagos Region.
The El Heraldo Austral article highlights the start of this tour, which this Thursday, September 3, arrives at the San Antonio de Pocoihuén Alto Rural Elementary School, in the commune of Cochamó, bringing nanoscience, technology, and art closer to students and educational communities in rural areas.
The exhibition brings together images obtained by CEDENNA researchers using electron microscopy techniques, later reworked from an artistic perspective. Through these pieces, the initiative seeks to reveal the beauty and complexity of structures that exist at the nanometric scale and cannot be seen with the naked eye.
