Our director, Dr. Dora Altbir, spoke on Radio Bío Bío about the main advances and challenges that will mark the new stage of Center for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (CEDENNA), in a context of strengthening applied research and its impact on the country’s development.
During the interview, Dr. Altbir highlighted the strategic role of nanoscience and nanotechnology in addressing key challenges for Chile, from health and the environment to industry, energy and food. In this new cycle, CEDENNA plans research aimed at generating frontier knowledge, with concrete solutions that respond to the country’s needs and help improve people’s quality of life.
The importance of coordinating science, the State and industry was also discussed, strengthening national capabilities and promoting a long-term view of scientific and technological innovation, where research not only advances academically, but also has a real and measurable impact on society.
