In its edition today (Monday, February 12) El Mercurio's Campo Magazine highlights that from CEDENNA, the doctor in Plant Biology Gustavo Zúñiga has developed the production of green nanoparticles from endemic Chilean plants for use in medicine and agriculture. This innovation will be present at the First Nanotechnology for Agriculture Fair that will be held on Thursday, March 28, with the assistance of government authorities and a group of prominent leaders from the agricultural sector.

“These nanoparticles can be used in practically all fields, from medicine to agriculture. In recent times we have focused on two lines, one that has to do with the agricultural part, because the input producers themselves have raised the need to have solutions that are more environmentally friendly, and we began to work on the concept of nanofertilizers and nanopesticides,” says Zúñiga.
