Support for the improvement and constant updating of Science, Physics, Chemistry and Biology in the topics of nanoscience and nanotechnology has been a priority task for the members of CEDENNA.

An example of this is his active participation in two workshops especially intended for basic and secondary education teachers in our country: the Asynchronous Training Workshop Professors in Nanotechnology, formulated in conjunction with researchers from different universities and whose contents are filmed to form a video library that remains permanently available to registered teachers. And the PRONANO In-Person Workshop, Cedenna initiative that consists of a guided tour of teachers from all over the country so that get to know the researchers, their laboratories and high-generation instruments and can carry out replicable experiments with them in the classroom.

In its 2024 version, the Asynchronous Workshop is being carried out with the collaboration of the doctors Alejandra Torres, CEDENNA researcher and USACH academic; Javier Rojas, CEDENNA researcher and academic at the Catholic University of Maule; Pamela Sepúlveda, academic at the Universidad Mayor; and Carla Hernández, USACH academic. Furthermore, they have participated Rafael Freire (UCEN), Valeria del Campo (UTFSM) and Silvia Tecpan (Mexico), and teachers such as Victoria Sáez, Nayareth Quirola, Valentina Márquez, among others. All of them They contribute their knowledge and record theoretical and practical talks on video about the different aspects of nanoscience and nanotechnology that are currently in the school curriculum, videos that are available to registered teachers, both for their replication and for their classroom use.

At the same time, this course has become an important preliminary step for those teachers who apply to participate in the PRONANO In-Person Workshops, during which the attendees visit CEDENNA to make direct contact with the researchers, learn about the laboratories at the center and even put into practice everything learned in the videos and talks.
